Heart South Wales

Description:

Heart Radio Wales or Heart South Wales is a British independent local radio that broadcasts to the areas of South and West Wales. The station is owned and operated by Global Radio and it is part of the Heart radio network of stations. On 3 October 2000 this station, known back then as Real Radio, was aired for the first time, serving South and West Wales. On 4 January 2011 it began broadcasting on its North and Mid Wales frequencies. One year later, Global Radio (the owner of stations such as Capital and Heart) bought GMG Radio. Two years later, on 2014 all-Wales Real Radio stations were split into two separate stations, launched under separate owners and relaunched as Heart South Wales and Heart North Wales. Heart South Wales local programming is produced and broadcast from Heart's Cardiff Bay studios, while all networked programming is aired from Global Radio's London headquarters.
